What we look at
- Spend and contracts: IT support, broadband, printing, telephony and software contracts, renewal dates and what you’re actually getting.
- Licensing: Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and software licences, unused accounts and education entitlements you may not be using.
- Cyber security: MFA, patching, admin rights, email protection and backups, measured against the DfE cyber security standard, Cyber Essentials and the NCSC 10 Steps.
- Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, network, servers, storage and devices, including what’s ageing, unsupported or oversized.
- Your IT team: where your technician or provider is stretched, and where expert backup would make the biggest difference.
- Governance: policies, incident response, data protection and how cyber risk is reported to leaders and governors.

How much disruption is there on the day?
Very little. We work around your timetable and only need short conversations with key people, such as your business manager and IT technician or provider.
Do we have to change IT provider?
No. Many schools use the review to get more from their existing provider. Our job is to give you an honest, independent picture.
Can you review a whole multi-academy trust?
Yes. For trusts we can review several schools and compare them, which often reveals the biggest savings from standardising systems and contracts.
Do you cover the whole UK?
Yes. We support schools, academies and trusts across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, on site and remotely.
